Dolphins forward Kurt Donoghoe is the only player charged by the NRL's match review committee following the Sunday fixtures in Round 26.
Despite this, he is set to play against the likely understrength Canberra Raiders this Sunday in a crucial match that could determine the Dolphins' top-eight prospects.
Donoghoe received a Grade 1 careless high tackle charge for an incident that occurred in the 72nd minute of the match against the Gold Coast Titans. He faces a $3,000 fine if he accepts an early guilty plea, or he could risk a two-match suspension if he decides to contest the charge at the judiciary and loses.
This charge is significant as it adds to his existing three infractions on a rolling 12-month record, leading to a high likelihood that he will opt for the early guilty plea.
Interestingly, Donoghoe was the only player penalized from the Sunday game, despite four players being reported by on-field officials for various infractions.
In a related incident, Titans forward Klese Haas received a charge for a dangerous tackle that took place in the 52nd minute of the same match.
Earlier in the day, the Cronulla Sharks achieved a convincing win over the Newcastle Knights, where Sharks fullback William Kennedy was also reported for a dangerous tackle just before halftime.
