Dolphins extend Tabuai-Fidow through 2029

Hammer Time to Continue Until 2029

The Dolphins have extended Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow's contract, keeping the fullback at the club until at least the end of 2029.

He has scored 66 tries in 78 games since joining from the North Queensland Cowboys in 2023.

Tabuai-Fidow, 25, scored the Dolphins' first NRL try in 2023 and later helped them beat the Warriors in Auckland for their first Finals win, advancing to their maiden Preliminary Final.

Across 128 NRL appearances since his 2020 first-grade debut for the Cowboys, he has scored 87 tries and played 13 State of Origin matches for Queensland.

He is currently representing Samoa at the 2026 Rugby League World Cup.

Dolphins CEO Terry Reader said: "Hamiso has been part of some of the biggest moments in the club's short history, from scoring the first-ever NRL try to helping us reach the first Finals Series,"

"He is a player who can change a game in an instant, and his record of 66 tries in Dolphins colours speaks for itself.

"Hammer's re-signing shows the environment we have built at the Dolphins is something that players value, as is being a part of a squad that will continue to challenge every season.

"Hamiso has been with us from the beginning, and we're excited to have him continue that journey with the Dolphins over the next few years."
