Dayne Jennings, an outside back for the South Sydney Rabbitohs, has secured his first NRL contract after being named to the 2025 Australian Schoolboys team. This signing marks a significant step in Jennings' career as South Sydney continues to invest in its future talent.
Jennings joins the ranks of other young talents, such as Matthew Humphries and Taj Alvarez, who have recently received their first contracts with the club. He has established himself as a standout player in the 2025 SG Ball Cup, scoring five tries in ten matches, and has earned a place on the club's development list for the 2027 NRL season.
For the upcoming season, Jennings will be on a New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) contract, where he will initially compete in the Under-19s league. His goal is to advance to the Jersey Flegg Cup and eventually the NSW Cup.
Known for playing primarily in the centres and often seen wearing a red headgear, the 'Dayne Plane' has demonstrated impressive footwork, exceptional speed, and clever attacking skills. As he continues his education at Central Coast Sports College, Jennings is keen to learn from established NRL players like Jack Wighton, Alex Johnston, and Campbell Graham to enhance his game further.
