Cowboys star lassoes new team's offer

In what could be described as a true blue moment for the North Queensland Cowboys, legend and 2015 Premiership winner Jason Taumalolo has knocked back interest from another team.

Known as the only forward to snatch the Dally M medal in the 21st century, Taumalolo has been the talk of the town when it comes to speculating about his future.

Despite battling injuries in recent seasons, the New Zealand and Tongan international is determined to stick with the Cowboys and finish out his contract until the end of the 2027 NRL season, raking in a cool $950,000 per year.

According to reports from News Corp, Taumalolo has said thanks, but no thanks to a potential move to the Super League's Catalans Dragons.

This decision would have seen him bid farewell to the NRL and the Cowboys, but it seems like the wrecking ball forward is keen to keep the faith and stay true to his roots.
