Panthers coach Ivan Cleary provided an update on his son Nathan's groin issue, indicating it is not "too serious." Nathan is expected to play in the upcoming match against the Bulldogs next Thursday.
Reports from au.news.yahoo.com reveal that Nathan experienced a groin complaint during Wednesday's second Origin clash, where he wore a compression sleeve on his right leg.
This hindered his performance, as he didn't kick goals and was relatively quiet in the first half.
However, he regained control in the second half as the Blues sought to score.
The injury was unexpected but is currently not viewed as serious.
Cleary had already planned to miss the Panthers' trip to New Zealand for Saturday's game against the Warriors, where all five Origin stars, including Brian To'o-who scored a hat-trick-are being rested.
"Nathan had that little groin injury.
I'm not too sure how he's going at the moment, but I don't think it's too serious," said Ivan Cleary.
