Chanel Harris-Tavita is set to match his longest halves partnership of 15 games in his six-season NRL career when the NZ Warriors take on the Brisbane Broncos at Suncorp Stadium.
According to warriors.kiwi, Harris-Tavita and halfback Luke Metcalf have played together for 1119 of the 1122 minutes in their 14 matches this season, with the exception of the Anzac Day match against Newcastle where Metcalf was substituted for precautionary reasons after 77 minutes.
This upcoming match will extend their partnership to 15 games, equaling Harris-Tavita's previous record with Kodi Nikorima over the 2020, 2021, and 2023 seasons, although not all those games were sequential.
Over the years, Harris-Tavita has experienced various partnerships, including nine games with Green in 2019-2020, 15 with Nikorima, and several others with different players such as Sean O'Sullivan, Chad Townsend, Ash Taylor, Shaun Johnson, Daejarn Asi, and Te Maire Martin, demonstrating a dynamic and evolving playing career.
