'Don't stress mate!' Hunt spills the beans on heated on-field exchange with Lomax during Dragons' triumph over Souths amid playful 'winger' banter
In a classic showdown on the field, Dragons ace Ben Hunt has spilled the beans on the fiery clash captured between him and teammate Zac Lomax during the Red V's mighty 28-14 victory over Souths on Saturday night.
Lomax was clearly miffed with Hunt after the Dragons skipper chose not to challenge a referee decision.
The ref had caught Lomax for an illegal play-the-ball, ruling that he had used the ball to push himself off the ground.
By the book, it was the right call, but the talented outside back - who's off to Parramatta next season - wasn't having any of it.
As Hunt took position at dummy-half, he had a clear view of the play and decided not to waste a challenge, much to Lomax's displeasure.
The vocal winger then kept insisting "trust me" to his skipper.
Hunt responded by turning to Lomax and bellowing "relax," putting an end to the heated exchange on the field.
