Harris-Tavita Extends Contract to 2029
New Zealand Warriors playmaker Chanel Harris-Tavita has signed a new contract extension, keeping him with the club for a total of 10 seasons.
This latest two-year deal will see him remain until the conclusion of the 2029 season, following his previous extension that included the 2027 campaign.
In the past two years, Harris-Tavita has solidified his role as the starting #6, contributing to the Warriors' impressive 28-14 record across 45 games.
Born on April 3, 1999, in Auckland, NZ, Harris-Tavita began his junior career with clubs like Howick Hornets and Pakuranga Jaguars.
He made his NRL debut with the Warriors against the Gold Coast Titans on April 5, 2019.
Following a year out in 2023, he rejoined the Warriors with a two-year contract for 2024 and 2025, later extending it for another year.
In a recent match against Brisbane, he shifted from his usual #6 position to halfback after Luke Metcalf suffered a hamstring injury early in the game.
