The Rugby League world has been eagerly awaiting news about Maroons star Cameron Munster.

It looks like Munster could be making his return as soon as round five for the Melbourne Storm after getting back to running in training.

Munster has had a tough time with injuries, including re-injuring his groin after a slippery mishap in the shower before the NRL season kicked off.

This setback has hampered Munster's ability to train consistently, but there is hope on the horizon.

Just last week, Cameron Smith, the former Storm captain, raised concerns about Munster's progress on his show, "Captain's Run." Smith mentioned that the Storm are still unsure when Munster will be fit to play again.

"It's a bit worrying, hey," Smith said.

"They have no clue when he will be ready.

He's barely able to run." When asked if it could be a few more weeks, Smith added, "He's not even running yet.

It's a day by day thing."

But Munster's return is imminent as he gets back to full fitness and the Storm eagerly await his comeback on the field.

Fans and teammates alike are eagerly anticipating the return of the dynamic playmaker, ready to light up the field with his skills and tenacity.
