Calls for Bold Change in NSW Blues Strategy

‘Grave fears’: NSW great’s warning for Blues if Daley ignores crucial team switch — Origin Daily

Former NSW star Braith Anasta has once again called on coach Laurie Daley to elevate Cam Murray to the starting lineup in order to address the team's concerning first-half performance.

Since Daley's tenure began with the last series, the Blues have endured a troubling trend, being outscored 68-26 in first halves across four games.

Anasta has consistently advocated for starting Murray at lock before the series opener. Ultimately, Daley opted to stick with the originally named squad, leaving Murray as a reserve in jersey No. 14.

The Blues swiftly found themselves trailing 20-0, unable to keep pace with a fast-starting Maroons side and further extending their poor first-half streak.

"He has to start Cam Murray and Isaah Yeo either has to go to the front row or to the bench," Anasta stated firmly.

"I don't have a problem with them picking the same team and backing the same group of guys that got the job done but the start needs to be a hell of a lot better and they need to change it."
