The Brisbane Broncos have signed Dutch international Linneke Gevers ahead of the multicultural round.
Gevers, hailing from Reek, Netherlands, has an impressive journey leading to her new contract for the 2026 NRLW season.
At 28 years old, she began her athletic career in rugby union but sought new challenges, eventually trying rugby league on a friend's suggestion.
Her debut in rugby league came during the World Cup European Qualifiers, where she played against teams like Greece and Ireland.
Encouraged by Netherlands Coach Brett Davidson, Gevers made the bold decision to relocate to Australia and pursue her passion for rugby league.
