Round 25 of the NRL season kicked off on Friday night with two thrilling matches, leading to four charges for the Match Review Committee to evaluate.
At GIO Stadium, the Brisbane Broncos triumphed over the Raiders with a score of 40-34 in what was Canberra's last home game for the season.
The Broncos faced some challenges, as lock Patrick Carrigan was sent to the sin bin in the 24th minute for a reckless high tackle on Raiders forward Corey Horsburgh.
The Match Review Committee classified Carrigan's offense as a Grade 1 charge, marking his second infraction in three years.
He received a fine of $1,800 for an early guilty plea, which could rise to $2,500 if he chooses to contest it and ends up losing at a hearing.
Meanwhile, at Suncorp Stadium, the Dolphins delivered a strong performance, defeating the Parramatta Eels 34-16.
This match resulted in three charges being filed.
Initially, Will Penisini from the Eels faced a Grade 1 careless high tackle charge for hitting Dolphins centre Herbie Farnworth.
Penisini's tackle was deemed high during an attacking play from the Dolphins at the end of the set in the 12th minute.
