Broncos Brace for R360's Haas Pursuit

The Brisbane Broncos are gearing up to retain Payne Haas amid reports that the R360 rugby competition is making a lucrative offer to entice the Test prop away from the NRL.

News Corp has disclosed that Haas is considering a potential deal from the alternative league that could be valued at up to $3 million per season, including tax benefits, which is double his current NRL salary.

In a conversation on 4BC's Wide World of Sports Radio, Broncos CEO Dave Donaghy acknowledged that the club is aware of this approach and emphasized that they will actively work to prevent their star forward from being recruited.

"We've been pretty clear publicly and privately that we want Payne," Donaghy stated.

"We'll be doing everything we can to keep Payne at the Broncos."

He expressed a desire for Haas to remain with the team throughout his entire career.

"We'd love for him to play his whole career here," he added.
