Broncos legend Corey Parker has thrown some shade at his old NRL stomping ground over their handling of rising star Reece Walsh, questioning how they ever let him slip through their fingers to join the Warriors.
The 22-year-old recently penned a hefty $5 million contract extension with Brisbane, putting an end to months of speculation about his future.
Having come up through the Broncos academy ranks, Walsh expressed his deep love for the club and his desire to stay put.
"I've dreamed of wearing the Broncos jersey since I was knee-high to a grasshopper, so I'm pumped to be staying here and gearing up for the upcoming season," he enthused.
"I aim to be a hard worker, a success-bringer, and a key player in bringing silverware to this legendary club.
But first and foremost, I want to be a top-notch human off the field."
The fullback's journey to the Warriors in 2021 was a bitter pill for Broncos faithful to swallow, with former coach Kevin Walters admitting his remorse over the blunder.
However, the good news is that Walsh will be donning the maroon and gold jersey for at least the next eight seasons, much to the delight of fans.
