Brailey and Fonua Blake Debut for NSW Blues

Brailey and Fonua Blake to debut for the Blues

Blake Brailey is set to make his highly anticipated debut for the Blues in the State of Origin series.

Addin Fonua Blake joins the team as the first international player since the eligibility rules were revised.

Brailey, who was part of the Kangaroos squad last season but did not play in the UK tour, will share the hooking role with Reece Robson.

Despite ending a 139-game streak due to concussion protocols, selectors recognized Brailey's skill over recent seasons, paving the way for his debut.

Fonua Blake earned his spot following a strong performance as Sharks captain against the Bulldogs last week.

Changes to eligibility laws this year have allowed players from Tier One nations, who meet traditional State of Origin criteria, to compete.

Victor Radley, who has played for Great Britain, was also named in the NSW squad.

The NSW team is scheduled to start camp on the Central Coast ahead of the first game at Accor Stadium next week.

Four training squad members, including Tom Hazelton from the Sharks, will join them in recognition of his consistent efforts.
