A Wests Tigers outcast has taken a brutal swipe at the club and coach Benji Marshall, revealing he was "hurt personally" by the messy breakup.

David Nofoaluma, the 31-year-old winger, didn't hold back in his criticism of the Tigers and Marshall, referencing the club's three consecutive wooden spoons in a photo shared on Instagram.

It was a rough way to end a dismal season for the Tigers, with Marshall unable to lift the team from the bottom of the NRL ladder.

Nofoaluma's departure from the club was widely publicized, with rumors of a falling out with Marshall and club officials, leading to a $300,000 payout for the final two seasons of his contract before he signed with the Salford Devils on a 12-month deal.

Nofoaluma's bitterness towards the Tigers was evident in his Instagram post, where he posed wearing three NRL premiership rings alongside the caption "3 wooden spoons", symbolizing the club's recent shortcomings.
