NZ Warriors co-captain Mitchell Barnett is confirmed to start in today's round 13 NRL match against the Rabbitohs at Accor Stadium, Sydney.

The game kicks off at 2:00 PM local time (4:00 PM NZT).

Barnett recently played 41 minutes in the NSW Blues' 18-6 win over the Maroons during the Origin series opener.

His inclusion follows the absences of both him and fellow co-captain James Fisher-Harris, the latter of whom missed the previous match against Canberra due to a one-match suspension.

Additionally, centre Rocco Berry returns for his fourth appearance this season after recovering from a hamstring strain sustained during the Magic Round clash against the Cowboys.

Berry had also been sidelined for one match due to a prior suspension.

The Rabbitohs, coached by Wayne Bennett, are currently sixth on the ladder with a record of 6-5 and 14 points, coming off a bye week.

They have two players involved in the New South Wales Origin squad: centre Latrell Mitchell and 18th man Campbell Graham.

Historically, the rivalry between the Warriors and Rabbitohs is closely contested, with South Sydney holding 21 wins to the Warriors' 20 from 41 matches played.
