Bailey Biondi-Odo's 74 appearances in the New South Wales and Queensland Cup competitions have led to a development contract with the NZ Warriors for 2027.
The 24-year-old halfback will move to the Auckland club after three seasons with the Townsville Blackhawks, scoring 39 tries across those competitions.
He previously played 17 NRL matches for Canterbury between 2021 and 2022, mostly from the interchange bench.
Born in Mount Isa, Biondi-Odo suffered an ACL injury in late 2022 before leaving the Bulldogs in 2024 for Townsville.
In 2024, he represented the Indigenous All Stars, coached by Ron Griffiths, in their 22-14 win over the Māori All Stars in Townsville.
"Bailey showed a lot of promise when he broke into the NRL with the Bulldogs and has just come out of a terrific season with Townsville," said Warriors general manager of recruitment, pathways and development Andrew McFadden.
"We're excited to bring him into the system and give him this opportunity. He'll boost the resources in the halves and add to the competition for spots."
