Brad Arthur, the former head coach of the Parramatta Eels, has reiterated his aspirations to return to the NRL in the future. This affirmation may not come as a surprise, as Arthur has expressed similar sentiments on several occasions.
Notably, his recent comments follow the signing of a one-year contract extension with the Leeds Rhinos in the English Super League. This deal secures his position at Leeds until at least the end of 2026, effectively removing him from consideration for several coaching vacancies expected to arise in the coming months.
Currently, teams such as the North Queensland Cowboys, Newcastle Knights, and Gold Coast Titans are evaluating their coaching situations. Coaches Todd Payten, Adam O'Brien, and Des Hasler are all facing uncertain futures as they approach the next season. Arthur had at some point been associated with all three vacancies, but he ultimately chose to commit to another year with Leeds.
