Euan Aitken, a veteran utility player, has joined the South Sydney Rabbitohs after a two-year stint with The Dolphins, marking a significant shift in his career.

Having played nearly 200 NRL matches since 2015, Aitken has a rich background with teams like the St George Illawarra Dragons, New Zealand Warriors, and the Dolphins.

His decision to move to the Rabbitohs was influenced by his desire to return to New South Wales and be closer to family, which he emphasized in an exclusive interview with Zero Tackle.

The Rabbitohs are entering a new phase under coach Wayne Bennett, who is also one of the reasons for Aitken's move, as they work to rebuild their roster following a disappointing finish in 2024, where they ended up second-last on the ladder.

Aitken's arrival is part of a strategy to improve the team, given he is one of six new signings aimed at revitalizing the Rabbitohs' performance.
