Keone Anitelea-Tsioussis, a standout utility player for the South Sydney Rabbitohs' Harold Matthews Cup team, has reportedly left the club to sign with the Sydney Roosters.

Despite the Rabbitohs' efforts to keep the promising young star, he has opted for the Roosters, marking a significant move for both the player and the clubs involved.

This year, Anitelea-Tsioussis led the Rabbitohs to a preliminary final as captain and has showcased versatility by playing positions such as halfback, five-eighth, and lock.

His transition to the Roosters continues a trend of the club acquiring top junior talent, including the Va'a brothers, Xavier and De La Salle, who were also lured away from the Brisbane Broncos and are now on the cusp of first-grade play.

In addition to his league experience, Anitelea-Tsioussis has played both rugby league and rugby union, and the Waratahs were also in the running for his signature, as reported by News Corp.

The Rabbitohs previously praised Anitelea-Tsioussis for his innate leadership abilities and comprehensive skill set, highlighting his capabilities to kick, pass, and run effectively.

As he joins the Roosters, he is expected to compete in the SG Ball Cup next season and progress through the Jersey Flegg and NSW Cup programs in the upcoming years.
