The Canberra Raiders' Jersey Flegg Cup team put on a dominant display in the second half to claim a 30-14 victory over the Newcastle Knights, in what was billed as a top four showdown.

The game certainly lived up to the hype, with both teams trading blows in the early stages.

The Raiders got off to a flying start, scoring two quick tries, but the Knights fought back and managed to level the score just before halftime with a couple of their own.

With the score at 12-10 in favor of the Raiders, prop Tahrell Feaveai stepped up in the second half and scored a crucial try to swing the momentum in Canberra's favor.

Fullback Trae Bennetto and halfback Keahn Skipps then took control of the game, combining to put the Knights to the sword and secure the win for the Raiders, who remain on top of the ladder.

Next up for the Raiders is a clash with the Panthers at BlueBet Stadium this weekend, where they will be looking to continue their winning ways and solidify their position at the top of the table.
