Uta and Brophy named in NSW Under 19s Men's State of Origin squad

The CABE NSW Under 19s Men's squad for the State of Origin match at Sunshine Coast Stadium on Thursday, 19 June, has been announced.

Key players include five from the victorious 2024 team that defeated Queensland 14-10: Connor Votano, Hayden Buchanan, Mitchell Woods, Jacob Halangahu, and Cody Hopwood, along with Zane Harrison, who served as the 18th player in 2024.

The squad features three players from the UNE SG Ball Cup champions, the Sydney Roosters: Toby Rodwell, Jaxson Allen, and Kanaan Magele, plus Jezaiah Funa-luta from Grand Finalists Parramatta Eels.

The team will be coached by Josh Jackson, known as a True Blue, who also coaches the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs in the Jersey Flegg Cup (Under 21s).

His coaching staff includes fellow True Blues Josh Reynolds, Trent Hodkinson, and Dale Finucane.

The squad will gather for training on Friday, 13 June, at the NSWRL Centre of Excellence in Sydney Olympic Park prior to their travel to Sunshine Coast on Monday, 16 June.
