Wrestling icon Bryan Danielson, previously known as Daniel Bryan in WWE, has declared that rugby league surpasses all American sports. Currently in Australia for upcoming AEW events, he attended a match between the Sydney Roosters and the South Sydney Rabbitohs, as well as an AFL game the following day.
Having transitioned from WWE to AEW, Danielson expressed his enthusiasm for rugby league, arguing that it offers a more captivating experience compared to Australian Rules football and any sports in the U.S. He stated, "Oh Rugby [league], 100 percent. I watched it, and I think this is a better spectator sport than anything we have in America."
He continued, "To me, for my tastes, it's better than the NFL, it's better than the NBA, it's definitely better than baseball." Danielson highlighted the fast-paced nature of rugby league, noting, "What it is, is that the game keeps moving, it's very physical. There is a lot of action going on and I was just blown away by the athletes in general."
