Tom Ale has been called up to boost the front row resources for the NZ Warriors in their upcoming game against Penrith.

This will be the second game in a row that Ale has played for the New South Wales Cup side under the coaching of Slade Griffin.

His appearance in the round 21 encounter with the Raiders was impressive, with Ale making 164 metres from 15 runs and 29 tackles.

This performance helped the Warriors make a remarkable comeback from an 18-point deficit, ultimately securing a 21-20 victory.

Joining Ale in the side is first-grade winger Edward Kosi, who returns from a knee injury sustained in a previous match against South Sydney.

The Warriors are determined to protect their second position on the ladder and seek revenge for their previous loss to the Panthers in round 13.

With the bye weekend providing them with two points, the Warriors currently sit in second place, tied with the Newtown Jets and the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, all on 27 points.

However, the Warriors have the advantage in points for and against.
