The New Zealand Warriors' official website, warriors.kiwi, has provided an update on the recovery of Te Maire Martin, the 27-year-old playmaker who has been sidelined for most of the season.
Martin suffered a broken fibula in his left leg during the team's sixth-round match against Newcastle on April 9, just after halftime.
Despite hopes for a quicker return, Martin's recovery has caused him to miss the Warriors' last 14 games.
However, the website reports that Martin has now progressed to team skills sessions this week, indicating that he could be available for selection in two weeks' time.
In addition to Martin, the Warriors are also expecting the return of experienced centre Brayden Wiliame and rookie Ali Leiataua later in the season, both of whom have been recovering from calf and hamstring injuries respectively.
Furthermore, fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad and New South Wales Cup utility back Ben Farr are currently following the NRL's concussion protocols after sustaining head knocks in the previous weekend's matches.
