Wests Tigers have four places available in their 2027 Top 30 squad, leaving room to retain utility Heath Mason.
The 21-year-old is without a contract for that NRL season, but the club is working to keep him while shaping its roster.
The Tigers have left a decision on Mason's future until late in the year as they assess their options.
Mason can cover fullback and five-eighth, offering depth in both positions.
Since making his NRL debut in 2024, he has played 17 top-grade matches, including four this season at fullback and from the interchange bench.
He also stepped in when fullback Jahream Bula was sidelined.
Mason was upgraded to the Tigers' Top 30 squad in June last year after extending his contract through the end of 2026.
Strong NSW Cup performances for the Western Suburbs Magpies have kept him in contention for an NRL contract.
