The Wests Magpies have unfortunately fallen to a 22-20 defeat against the Canberra Raiders in Round 14 of the Knock On Effect NSW Cup at Lidcombe Oval.

The home side came out firing with four quick tries from Zakauri Clark, Luke Laulilii, Tim Johannssen, and Solomoma Faataape, showing some real razzle-dazzle on the field.

However, the Raiders managed to claw their way back into the game with fullback Albert Hopoate leading the charge just before halftime.

They then went on to score four unanswered tries, putting together a hat-trick in the second half and stealing the lead with just ten minutes left on the clock.

It was a real seesaw battle out there, with both teams leaving it all on the field.

Despite a valiant effort from the Magpies, the Raiders held onto their lead until the final whistle, securing a hard-fought 22-20 victory.

It was a tough loss for the Magpies, but they'll be looking to bounce back in their upcoming clash against the Warriors at Leichardt Oval on 15th June.

It's sure to be a ripper of a game, and the Magpies will be out for revenge as they aim to turn the tables and come out on top.
