The New Zealand Warriors NRLW have finalized their squad for the upcoming 2025 season by announcing the completion of their Top 24 roster.
Among the new signings is hooker Avery-Rose Carmont, the daughter of former Newcastle Knights centre George Carmont.
The Warriors, one of the two new teams entering the NRLW alongside the Canterbury Bulldogs, have secured Avery-Rose on a one-year deal extending to the end of 2025.
Avery-Rose has been on the Warriors' radar for quite some time.
"Although Avery filled the last spot on the roster we had been in conversation with her and monitoring her performance since the middle of last year," commented head coach Ronald Griffiths.
He further expressed admiration for her dedication, noting, "When we arrived in Auckland we had the opportunity to watch her train for Ōtāhuhu and were impressed with her work ethic."
This signing marks an important step for the Warriors as they bolster their squad ahead of their inaugural season in the NRLW.
