Warriors utility faces high shot charge, in trouble

The New Zealand Warriors have been knocked out of finals contention after their loss to the Dolphins on Sunday, but they can at least breathe a sigh of relief knowing that Dylan Walker will be available for the remaining games of the season.

The seasoned utility player, who has been rumored to be on the way out of Auckland, has been called out by the match review committee for a high shot, but luckily for him, it's only a Grade 1 charge.

The tackle on Dolphins' prop Mark Nicholls towards the end of the first half is a first-time offense for Walker.

If he takes the early guilty plea, he will only face a $1000 fine, but if he decides to challenge it at the judiciary and loses, it will cost him $1500.

The only other player to be put on report during the game was Herbie Farnworth for a dangerous tackle after halftime, but he managed to escape without any charges from the match review committee.
