The warriors over at warriors.kiwi are celebrating a brave young fan by naming their training field after him.
Micky Peacock, a true warrior in his own right, will be forever remembered whenever the NZ Warriors take to the pitch at Go Media Stadium's No 3 field during the summer offseason.
At only 17 years old, Micky's courageous battle with brain cancer came to an end on September 13 at his family home in Waipukurau.
Despite his young age, Micky's passion for the Warriors and his unwavering spirit left a lasting impact on the players and staff, especially during a special visit to a home game against Brisbane just weeks before his passing.
In a fitting tribute to Micky, the training venue will now bear his name as the Micky Peacock Field.
The southern boundary will proudly display signage honoring Micky's qualities of toughness, resilience, and humility, serving as a constant reminder of his legacy within the club.
