The New Zealand Warriors have made the call on Chanel Harris-Tavita's future, locking in the playmaker for the 2026 NRL season.
Harris-Tavita, who had a mutual option in his contract, will be staying with the club for the long haul.
After a year-long hiatus following the 2022 Rugby League World Cup, the Samoan international returned to the Warriors earlier this year.
Having made 17 appearances this season, he will now battle it out with Te Maire Martin for a spot in the halves alongside Luke Metcalf, following the departure of club legend Shaun Johnson.
Coach Andrew Webster praised Harris-Tavita's comeback to the NRL, commending his efforts on the field.
This decision marks a new chapter for Harris-Tavita, as he looks to make his mark in the upcoming season.
