The New Zealand Warriors have made a promising addition to their roster by signing Braelan Marsh, a talented young player from Queensland. The son of former NRL dummy-half PJ Marsh, Braelan has agreed to a three-year deal that will keep him with the Warriors at least until the end of the 2028 season.

While specific details regarding his contract remain undisclosed, Marsh is expected to gain valuable experience in the Under-19s SG Ball Cup and Under-21s Jersey Flegg Cup next season as he acclimates to his new environment.

Previously with the Redcliffe Dolphins in the Mal Meninga Cup, Braelan's remarkable talent was recognized when he was named Player of the Year in 2025. He has also represented Queensland Country at the Under-17s level.

Like his father, Braelan plays as a hooker and had an impressive outing with four tries in 11 matches for the Dolphins' pathways team. He is now set to follow in the footsteps of other players with familial ties to the Warriors, joining Jett Cleary and recently signed Haizyn Mellars from the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

"It's a great story for us being able to bring sons of former players to the club their fathers played for in their careers," said Andrew McFadden, the New Zealand Warriors' general manager of recruitment, development, and pathways.
