The NZ Warriors have secured the talents of promising forwards Jacob Laban and Zyon Maiu'u, signing them to two-year deals that will keep them with the team until the end of the 2026 season.

Laban, a 19-year-old from Samoa who was raised in Wellington, and Maiu'u, a 20-year-old from Auckland, showed significant progress during the 2023 season, earning their contract extensions.

Laban was named the 18th man for the Warriors' final NRL regular season game against the Dolphins and also represented the New Zealand Kiwis A against Mate Ma'a Tonga A.

Meanwhile, Maiu'u played in all 27 games for the reserve grade side in the New South Wales Cup.

Head coach Andrew Webster has high expectations for Laban and Maiu'u, and their re-signing is a clear indication of the team's belief in their potential.

The Warriors will be looking to these young forwards to make a significant impact in the coming seasons.
