The NZ Warriors are set to make their much-anticipated return to the NRLW in their round one match against the Sydney Roosters at Allianz Stadium, with kick-off scheduled for 11:50 AM local time.

Captain Apii Nicholls will lead the team, featuring a lineup predominantly composed of newcomers, as 16 players will be making their debuts for the Warriors.

Notably, Nicholls is the only squad member with prior experience with the club, having played for the Warriors during the competition's inaugural season in 2018 and participating in all six games in the first two years.

In addition to Nicholls, the squad includes players who have competed in the NRLW before, such as former Knights center-winger Emmanita Paki, halfback Emily Curtain who has played for the Eels and Tigers, prop Harata Butler from the Sharks and Cowboys, hooker Capri Paekau from the Eels, back rower Laishon Albert-Jones from the Knights, and interchange forward Matekino Gray from the Titans.

Back rower Makayla Eli has been confirmed as the 18th player, ensuring a well-rounded lineup as the Warriors embark on this new chapter in their NRLW journey.
