In an audacious move, the New Zealand Warriors have snatched up a rising star from the Cronulla Sharks as they gear up for a transitional period without key players Addin Fonua-Blake and Shaun Johnson.

According to sources at zerotackle.com, Samuel Healey, a promising hooker with a bright future, has penned a lucrative three-year deal with the Warriors, cementing his place in the Top 30 roster until the end of the 2027 NRL season.

Hailing from a proud rugby league lineage, being the son of former Sharks legend Mitch Healey, Samuel has already showcased his skills in 36 appearances for the Newtown Jets, the feeder club for the Sharks, in the NSW Cup over the past couple of seasons.

At just 21 years old, his potential is undeniable, and he is poised to make a significant impact in the Warriors' lineup.

As Healey and the Jets gear up to take on the Canberra Raiders this weekend in a high-stakes NSW Cup clash for a shot at the Grand Final against the North Sydney Bears, excitement is building within the club.

"I can't wait to get over.

Immediately when talking to the club, it was clear they had a really clear direction and that certainly appealed to me," said Healey, exuding eagerness for this new chapter in his career.
