Stern challenge for NSW Cup side in curtain raiser

The NZ Warriors' New South Wales Cup side is facing a crucial match tonight against the Sea Eagles at Daniel Anderson Stadium.

In order to secure their position in second place on the ladder, they must win or draw in this second to last round of the regular season.

The Sea Eagles, on the other hand, are equally determined to win as they strive for a higher finish in the finals, sitting just one point outside the top four.

Notably, the Sea Eagles' lineup includes former Warriors players Nathaniel Roache and Brad Abbey.

Earlier in the week, the Warriors named a strong side with NRL players such as hooker Freddy Lussick, halfback Ronald Volkman, centre Viliami Vailea, winger Edward Kosi, and prop Tom Ale.

However, Ale was recently added to the first-grade team's interchange bench, leaving the Warriors with a slightly altered lineup for tonight's game.
