Luke Metcalf's anticipated 2025 season was off to a remarkable start.
Before the Dally M awards were put on hold, he led the leaderboard, but his promising year was abruptly ended by a ruptured ACL sustained in Round 17 during a match against the Brisbane Broncos, which also dashed his team's hopes for a premiership title.
New Zealand Warriors fans are keenly awaiting his comeback. In a recent interview on SEN 1170 Breakfast, Metcalf shared an encouraging update about his rehabilitation progress.
"The rehab's looking really well, actually," Metcalf stated during the show.
"I couldn't want it to go probably any smoother than it has.
"I'm about five and a half months in at the moment. The timeline's around that nine-month mark, which would be I think about round seven.
"I don't have an exact date, but around that round seven mark would be pretty good."
