Warriors fullback Tuaupiki extends stay after standout seasons

The New Zealand Warriors have locked in their fullback sensation, Taine Tuaupiki, for another few seasons following his impressive performances over the past two years.

Tuaupiki, who has already secured a spot for next season, has now committed to the Warriors until 2026, adding even more depth to their roster and keeping the pressure on Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad for the coveted No.1 jersey.

Hailed as the 2022 Petero Civoniceva Medallist for his standout performances in the QLD Cup, Tuaupiki has been a quietly consistent force for the Warriors since his arrival in the land of the long white cloud.

With the departure of Marcelo Montoya to the Canterbury Bulldogs, a spot has opened up in the starting lineup, and Tuaupiki is just one of many contenders looking to seize that opportunity.

Coach Andrew Webster praised Tuaupiki's versatility, noting that whether he's suiting up for the NRL or grinding it out in the New South Wales Cup, Tuaupiki brings a high level of skill and commitment to the team.

The Warriors will no doubt be relying on Tuaupiki's grit and determination as they push towards their goal of glory on the rugby league battlefield.
