Sam Walker made an unscathed, record-equalling 27-day return from a syndesmosis injury in the Roosters' 36-20 preliminary-final win over the Dolphins.
Connor Watson's place in next Sunday's grand final remains uncertain after his head struck Dolphins forward Kulikefu Finefeuiaki's hip in the 31st minute.
Roosters staff initially classified the incident as category two, but an independent doctor upgraded it to category one, triggering an 11-day stand-down.
Coach Trent Robinson said further tests would shape any appeal: "That's still 'watch this space' on Connor. It depends on how his tests go (if the Roosters appeal), so we'll see how that goes."
Watson must prove he was wrongly classified and symptom-free from Saturday morning, among other requirements.
He is the first player at risk of missing a grand final under the 11-day stand-down introduced in 2023.
Victor Radley avoided suspension for his hip-drop tackle on Herbie Farnworth. An early guilty plea and $2,000 fine would clear him to play the decider against Penrith or Newcastle.
