Warriors Confirm 2027 Anzac Day Match Venue

The New Zealand Warriors have officially announced their upcoming Anzac Day match will take place at Auckland's Eden Park in 2027.

This decision follows the remarkable success seen during this year's annual event in Wellington, which featured a full house and a vibrant atmosphere, prompting an exciting upgrade for Warriors fans.

Eden Park, the national stadium with a capacity of 50,000, is set to challenge for the title of the most attended rugby league match in New Zealand history.

The Warriors' existing attendance record stands at 38,412, established in 2011 during their season opener against the Parramatta Eels at Eden Park.

In contrast, the all-time record for rugby league matches remains at 47,363, a figure achieved during the 1988 World Cup final between the New Zealand Kiwis and the Australian Kangaroos.

Looking ahead, the club aims to sustain its annual Anzac Day game in New Zealand, with 2027 marking the fourth consecutive year the fixture will be hosted across the Tasman.

The increasing enthusiasm for the Warriors around the country brings excitement to the organization, and chief executive Cameron George expressed his joy about returning to the national venue.

"We're absolutely thrilled to confirm we'll be playing at Eden Park on Anzac Day next year," George said.

"It will be the fourth different venue we've used for the match in four years."
