Walker dodges a tackle, five caught in the fray

Sydney Roosters halfback Sam Walker has been cleared of a charge after being sin-binned for a cannonball tackle during a recent match against the St George Illawarra Dragons.

This game marked Walker's return to NRL after nearly a year, following recovery from an ACL injury and a broken thumb.

The incident occurred just before halftime when Walker tackled Dragons' prop David Klemmer.

Despite receiving a sin bin punishment, the NRL's match review committee decided not to press any charges against Walker.

Roosters head coach Trent Robinson remarked that the sin bin was a "heavy price" to pay.

In total, five charges were issued from the weekend's matches, with three of those related to the Roosters' gameplay.
