A new rivalry ignited on Saturday night, as Roosters halfback Sam Walker clashed with Dolphins enforcer Ray Stone, exchanging heated words.
After Stone delivered a high tackle on Tricolours captain James Tedesco, players from both sides rushed to the scene as the fullback stood up.
Walker joined the fray, and his words were picked up by the referee's microphone as he confronted Stone.
"It's a penalty you f***ing idiot, what the hell do you think it is," Walker shouted.
Stone quickly turned to face Walker, while referee Todd Smith instructed the bench utility to "walk back."
"Shut up you little c***," Stone retorted.
"(Sic) won't f***ing listen to you..."
This heated exchange unfolded just before Walker was forced to leave the field due to what appeared to be a serious ankle injury, raising concerns about his availability for the finals.
