Wakefield's Innes Senior celebrates scoring one of his four tries against Warrington

In a thrilling match, Wakefield triumphed over Warrington with a resounding scoreline of 42-6, showcasing their determination to secure their place in the Betfred Super League.

On-loan winger Innes Senior emerged as the hero of the game, scoring an impressive four tries for Wakefield.

This victory marks Wakefield's fourth consecutive win on home turf, a remarkable feat considering their lackluster start to the season.

Despite losing their first 14 games and failing to score in five of them, Wakefield defied the odds by running in a total of eight tries, much to the delight of their passionate supporters at the Be Well Support Stadium.

This triumphant performance has brought Wakefield level on points with their neighboring strugglers, Castleford.

Alongside Senior, Kevin Proctor, Tom Lineham, Liam Hood, and Max Jowitt also contributed to Wakefield's dominant display, crossing the try line for their team.

The returning Luke Gale and Max Jowitt showcased their kicking prowess, adding five successful goals to the scoreline.

As for Warrington, their fortunes have taken a turn for the worse.

Despite beginning the season with eight consecutive victories, they have now slipped to sixth place in the league standings, with Hull KR overtaking them on points difference.
