In a move that has fans cheering louder than a packed stadium on grand final day, young gun forward Xavier Willison has officially penned a two-year contract extension with the Brisbane Broncos.

The towering forward, who had a standout season in 2024 with 19 games under his belt, is locked in with the club until at least the end of the 2027 NRL season.

Hailing from the esteemed Broncos Academy, Willison is just one of the many promising young forwards making waves in the club's ranks.

With over 100 metres per game and 38 tackle busts in 2024, this 22-year-old powerhouse is gearing up to elevate his game to new heights in the upcoming season.

Teaming up once again with the likes of Payne Haas and Patrick Carrigan in the middle forward rotation, Willison is determined to leave it all on the field.

As a new era dawns at Red Hill, Willison will have the chance to showcase his skills to incoming coach Michael Maguire, who is set to take the reins from Kevin Walters.

With a strong foundation laid in 2024, Willison is poised to prove himself as a force to be reckoned with in the NRL arena.
