The Manly Sea Eagles are undergoing significant changes, confirming that twelve players will depart at the end of the 2026 season.
Reuben Garrick, a key player since his 2019 debut, will leave to join the Sydney Roosters on a two-year contract that runs through the end of the 2028 season.
Garrick's contributions to the Sea Eagles have been substantial, as he ranks second in the club's all-time points scoring, only behind Graham Eadie.
Also departing is Nathan Brown, who became part of the team in 2024, where he marked his 200th NRL game this past season.
Brown announced this season would be his last in the NRL and is currently without a contract.
In an interview with AAP in August, he expressed interest in continuing his career in the Super League, stating, "You don't want to be finishing by just clutching at the straws and hanging on by a thread."
He added, "I feel like I can probably still physically play another year in the NRL. But in the mental side of things, I'm just ready."
The other players departing include Siosiua Taukeiaho, Aaron Schoupp, Paul Bryan, Zach Dockar-Clay, Blake Wilson, Fletcher Baker, Zaidas Muagututia, Viliami Fifita, and Tex Hoy.
Though Muagututia and Wilson had contracts extending through 2027, they have been released a year early.
Furthermore, Brandon Wakeham was reportedly set to extend his contract by two years, yet no formal confirmation has been issued by the club.
