Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs dummy-half Jake Turpin has made a significant decision regarding his future, opting to remain loyal to the Bulldogs by rejecting an offer from a rival team for the upcoming 2026 NRL season.

Turpin has been linked with a transfer to the Manly Sea Eagles, but according to News Corp, he has declined the two-year contract proposed by the club and is expected to receive an extension at Belmore.

This season, Turpin has participated in only three matches and had previously played four games after joining the Bulldogs following a one-year stint with the Sydney Roosters. He will continue to compete with Bailey Hayward for the crucial dummy-half position.

At 28 years old, Turpin brings valuable experience to the team, having played over 80 NRL matches and gained experience with both the Melbourne Storm and Brisbane Broncos.

In contrast to Turpin's decision to stay, teammate Blake Wilson has chosen to sign with the Sea Eagles on a two-year contract beginning in 2026. The promising winger, at just 24 years old, is still at the early stage of his career, having made only 27 appearances in first-grade.

Wilson, a product of the Noosa Pirates, plans to leave the Bulldogs at the conclusion of this season, seeking a new opportunity to secure a regular position in an NRL team.
