Team Update: Tuivasa-Sheck out

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck has been ruled out of the NZ Warriors' upcoming NRL match against St George Illawarra at WIN Stadium in Wollongong on Saturday at 5:30 PM local time (7:30 PM NZT).

He was included in the reserves earlier in the week while hoping to recover from a hamstring injury that has kept him sidelined since March.

However, Tuivasa-Sheck was ultimately excluded when the squad was trimmed to 19 players, as required 24 hours before the match.

In addition to Tuivasa-Sheck, hooker Sam Healey, who debuted as Warrior #291 last week, and prop Tanner Stowers-Smith have also been omitted.

Given Healey's absence, Te Maire Martin will now step into the interchange while Tanner Boyd and Eddie Ieremia-Toeava remain in the squad until the final team announcement an hour before kickoff.

Furthermore, back-up winger Edward Kosi is out due to a chest injury sustained early in the match against the Cowboys, despite playing the entire 80 minutes.

The severity of Kosi's injury is still being assessed.
