Christian Tuipulotu's future appears to lie outside of the NRL as he prepares for a potential move to the Super League.
With the end of the 2026 season approaching, Tuipulotu is among ten players confirmed to leave the St George Illawarra Dragons.
Currently, only Jaydn Su'A has secured an NRL deal for the next year, while the others in the group, including Tyrell Sloan and Luciano Leilua, are set to join the Super League.
Recent reports from Love Rugby League indicate that Tuipulotu is in discussions with St Helens, marking a significant transition for the player as he explores opportunities abroad.
Kevin Walters, the new head coach for St Helens, could welcome Tuipulotu as his first acquisition at the club.
Despite struggles with injuries, the 186-centimetre winger has made a notable impact in the NRL, amassing 33 tries in 63 games.
The status of negotiations remains uncertain, but it has been suggested that there are no current NRL offers, pushing Tuipulotu towards the UK.
Before joining the Dragons in 2024, Tuipulotu played for both the Sydney Roosters and the Manly Sea Eagles, recording a total of 30 appearances with his most recent club.
Additionally, Tuipulotu represented Tonga at the international level, debuting for the national team in 2022.
St Helens is reportedly close to also acquiring Sean O'Sullivan from the Canterbury Bulldogs for the 2027 season.
