Trbojevic's Centre Shift: A Step in New Directions

LeagueNews.co | Jess Malloy

Manly Sea Eagles head coach Anthony Seibold has indicated that Tom Trbojevic's transition to the centre position may become a permanent change.

Historically a fullback, Trbojevic has struggled with injuries throughout his career.

Seibold has previously expressed interest in moving him to the centres, a role where Trbojevic has excelled at representative levels.

His performance in a recent win against the South Sydney Rabbitohs showcased his capabilities in this new position.

Trbojevic's attributes-speed, footwork, and height-positions him as a strong asset against other backline players in the competition.

With Lehi Hopoate solidifying the fullback position for the foreseeable future, Manly is now able to explore other options for Trbojevic's lineup.

During the post-match press conference, Seibold said, "(A permanent move) is what I want to have a look at."
